Abstract: Abstract: An approach has been driven to synthesize Ag-TiO2
nanocomposite through sol-gel method followed by a potential photocatalytic
efficiency test in industrial dye degradation and anti-bacterial activity to
improve industrial wastewater parameter. Methylene violet 6B dye was
provided as a common industrial dye and observed its degradation under solar
irradiation in presence of Ag-TiO2 nanocomposite as a catalyst through UV
Vis spectroscopy. The photocatalytic degradation of methylene violet dye was
done five times under solar irradiation and the degradation efficiency of the
photocatalyst was observed in an average range of 45-51%. The Antibacterial
activity was also observed through drop test method on E. Coli bacteria. In the
case of antibacterial activity test around 65% of bacteria were observed to
inactive in solar radiation by this photo oxidation experiment.
